Case Study: Bathroom Improvements
Located in the petite ville of Limoux, on the banks of the river Aude, this amazing apartment is being progressively improved by the owners. The focus was to improve the bathrooms — one a cost effective refurbishment of a bathroom in the section of the apartment that is rented out as a gite, and the second a completely new installation, to create a dream private bathroom for the owners to enjoy.
Careful planning was needed to make the most of the budget for the rental bathroom, delivering a fresh and easy to maintain room, perfect for a gite. The private bathroom was a different challenge, with more time spent with the clients discussing the various options, to ensure they got the most luxurious result from their budget. With the new bathroom starting life as a spare room with a wooden floor, innovative processes were used to ensure that the final tiled bathroom resists movements of the timber floor, giving a durable and water tight end product.
The whole project was completed within budget and on time, and the clients are now looking forward to the next phase of the improvements!
Paul has recently completed two bathrooms in our apartment in Limoux, and we are delighted with the results. The smaller bathroom has been converted into a shower room, and has been totally successful, largely due to Paul's careful planning. The second bathroom is a completely new installation. We discussed various options together, taking account of the main features in the room, with its sloping ceilings and oak beams, to achieve a unique and exceptionally well designed bathroom.
Paul is knowledgeable in all aspects of building and construction, and his skills match his ability to communicate, sending progress reports, including photographs, and keeping us updated on a regular basis.
We would not hesitate to recommend Paul for any of your building works. We're already planning our next project and looking forward to working with him once again.
