Aude Builders was established in 2006 by Paul Coward, a graduate of the school of Civil and Building Engineering at Loughborough University (UK).

Paul worked for many major players in the construction industry including Taylor Woodrow (now Taylor Wimpey Homes) and RMC Ready Mixed Concrete (now CEMEX) before setting up on his own. Personal development through ongoing training is important to Paul, following many vocational courses across the City&Guilds framework to level 5, Master Professional Practitioner.

The move to France was a new challenge, driven by the love of French and European culture and the desire to raise a bi-lingual family.

 

Paul says “From small beginnings in 2006 we’ve grown steadily into a larger business registered for french VAT, similar to a UK Limited company. This gives us credibility and priority with trade suppliers and artisans, allowing us to deliver real benefits and excellent service to our clients. We specialise in renovation for an international anglophone clientele, who are often not resident full time, so trust and strong communication is critical. Whilst our client list includes famous sportspeople, Noble laureates and media personalities (who are assured our discretion), we are also the ‘local builder’ to the expat community in the area. We take equal pride in working on grand chateaux and village properties.”

 

The Aude Builders crest represents the company philosophy and approach- Determination, Graft and Reliability (The white rose of Yorkshire) and Flair, Pride and Loyalty (The Occitan cross of the Languedoc)
